The ATEE Winter Conference 2018 will be held on February 15th and 16th in Utrecht and will be organised by the Archimedes Institute from the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. The HU is an ambitious university in dynamic surroundings. As a university of applied sciences, the HU provides education and conducts research. Archimedes is the teacher training faculty of the University.
The ATEE Winter conference will have a strong focus on innovative learning and the main theme of the conference is: “Technology and Innovative learning”.
Description of main theme:
Teachers and teacher educators are increasingly challenged to innovate their educational practices and align this with the learning needs of contemporary adolescents. Furthermore, educational researchers face the complex task to study the implementation and outcomes of the use of digital technology in innovative learning environments. Our ambition is to combine findings of empirical research with experiences from practice by sharing tools, hands-on examples and teaching methodology in order to increase and enhance both regular and refugee student learning experiences. The 2018 Winter Conference will focus on the critical years of learning and development period of secondary and higher education.
